Description
Xtreme HM Sanitary Silicone from Bond It is a high-performance acetoxy silicone sealant for sanitary and high-humidity environments. Its specialist formulation contains a fungicide and biocide to help prevent mould, mildew and bacterial growth. Bond It guarantees anti-mould resistance for up to 10 years.
The silicone creates a waterproof and permanently flexible seal. It also offers high resistance to chemicals and helps protect sealed areas against discolouration. These properties make it particularly suitable for environments that regularly experience moisture, condensation and frequent cleaning.
High-Performance Sanitary Silicone
The Xtreme HM Sanitary Silicone provides excellent primerless adhesion to many common non-porous surfaces. These include enamel, tiles, glazed ceramics, glass, stainless steel, polycarbonate and acrylics.
Users can also apply the sealant to wood, aluminium, chrome, concrete, brick and PVC when they use a suitable primer. Its good tooling characteristics help installers create a neat and professional finish around joints.
Suitable for High-Humidity Areas
Bond It recommends Xtreme HM for sanitary applications such as connection and expansion joints in bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens and toilet areas. It also suits swimming pool areas, although Bond It specifically states that users should not apply it inside a swimming pool.
The sealant also works well for internal sealing around window and door frames in areas that experience high levels of condensation. This makes it relevant to a wide range of commercial, sanitary and moisture-prone environments.
Its combination of waterproofing, flexibility and mould resistance provides a durable solution where hygiene and moisture resistance matter. The product also carries UKCA approval and conforms to BS EN 15651-1, F INT, XS1.
