A high-performance acrylic intumescent sealant developed to provide both fire protection and acoustic sealing in construction applications. When exposed to fire, the sealant expands to form an effective barrier against the passage of smoke and flames.
Designed for sealing internal linear joints in floors, ceilings, partition walls, dry lining systems, plasterboard and suspended ceilings. It is also suitable for sealing penetrations around steel and copper pipes passing through plasterboard.
The sealant remains permanently flexible, dries rapidly and can be overpainted with suitable fire-resistant paint within approximately one hour. Depending on the joint design, application depth and substrate, fire resistance of up to 4 hours can be achieved.
